• Able to float or tread water for 10 minutes

Course Schedule (Example)

Day 1
Arrive in Amed around midday, check in and relax or explore the area.
If you arrive before 3pm, you have the option to begin the course with your first shallow water session.

Day 2
Begin or continue the course with shallow water training, followed by your first Open Water dive (typically to 12 metres).

Day 3
Continue with shallow water sessions as needed and complete your second Open Water dive.

Day 4
Complete Open Water dives 3 and 4.

Liberty Wreck dives are typically scheduled at sunrise on the final day, offering the calmest conditions and allowing you to finish the course before check-out at 11am.

Theory is completed online, either before arrival or in your own time during the course.

This schedule is flexible and may be adjusted depending on how each diver is progressing, ensuring you have the time and support needed to build confidence at every stage.

Dive Sites

Jemeluk Bay (Amed)
Jemeluk Bay is one of the main training sites in Amed, known for its calm conditions and easy shore entry. The gently sloping reef makes it ideal for your first open water dives, with depths reaching around 12 metres. It’s a comfortable and controlled environment where you can focus on your skills while enjoying clear water and a variety of reef fish.

USAT Liberty Wreck (Tulamben)
The USAT Liberty is one of Bali’s most well-known dive sites and a highlight of the course. Accessible from shore, the wreck lies between around 5 and 18 metres for Open Water divers. You’ll explore the outer structure of the wreck, gaining experience in a slightly deeper environment while diving alongside large schools of fish. It offers a very different experience from reef diving and is often a favourite part of the course.
