Dive locations and schedule may be adjusted based on sea conditions, diver experience and your preferences to ensure a safe and enjoyable course.

Dive Sites

Your Advanced Open Water Course takes place across a range of sites in Amed and Tulamben, each chosen to match the specific skills you’ll be developing during your dives.

Jemeluk Bay (Amed)
Jemeluk Bay is used for your Underwater Navigation dive and often for the Night Dive. With calm conditions and clear reference points, it’s an ideal environment to practise navigation skills and build confidence diving in low-light conditions.

USAT Liberty Wreck (Tulamben)
The USAT Liberty is typically used for your Deep Adventure Dive, offering the chance to explore a well-known wreck site while gaining experience at greater depths (up to 30 metres). You’ll also develop your awareness of depth, air consumption and dive planning in a controlled setting.
If preferred, the Tulamben Drop Off can be selected instead of the wreck dive.

Amed Pyramids
The Amed Pyramids are commonly used for your Drift Dive, where gentle currents allow you to experience controlled drift diving in a relaxed and manageable environment.

Dive sites may vary depending on conditions and your preferences, ensuring the best possible experience throughout your course.
