To kick start our honeymoon we decided to get our scuba diving certifications. We managed to do the open water and the advanced open water in 6 days (including 1 rest day). We did night dives, sunrise dives, shipwreck, drift and deep and lots more. Really good fun and Amed has enough to explore for both courses.
Wow, Wow, Wow! Could not recommend any other place to go if you are looking at diving in Amed. Myself and my friend completed our Advanced Open Water course (followed by a number of fun dives), with Wayan and the team at Bali Dive Cove. The whole experience was seamless!
This package includes two dives at some of Amed’s most popular reef sites, offering a mix of shallow coral reef and gentle depth changes.
Amed is known for its healthy coral and diverse marine life, making it a rewarding and enjoyable place to dive.
• Jemeluk Drop Off (Jemeluk Wall) – A varied dive that typically begins over a sandy entry area, where you may spot macro life such as seahorses before reaching the reef. From there, the dive moves across a coral-covered plateau that gradually slopes into a deeper wall. This creates a balanced profile with plenty to explore at different depths. Expect reef fish, occasional turtles, schools of bigmouth mackerel and a mix of macro life hidden throughout the reef.
• Amed Pyramids – A unique reef site where artificial pyramid structures have blended into the natural reef over time. These attract schools of fish, turtles and a wide range of smaller marine life. The mix of sand and coral makes it great for spotting nudibranchs, shrimp and octopus, with light currents sometimes creating an easy drift.
Dives can be done either from shore or by traditional jukung boat, depending on conditions and preference.
